My Background
I have been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. I picked up my first “real” film camera while in the Navy and have been fascinated by light and subjects ever since. I am inspired by the human spirit and embrace the conviction that everyone and everything has a story to tell. Capturing a moment in that story is why I love photography.
Photography as Communication
Images can convey warmth, generosity, love, hate - virtually any emotion that is visually expressed along the spectrum of human experience. They are often used to generate emotive responses. My style of photography allows me to capture what is happening in the moment, and my pictures reflect our collective humanity.
Sharing Stories
Taking portraits and capturing events are two of my favorite ways to exercise my muse. My goal is to ensure the images I take will tell stories every time they are viewed.
